Claybord
Claybord is a product under trademark by Ampersand. The plate surface accepts watercolor in a unique way that allows me to create textures and illusions unlike any other. Claybord is mounted on a 2 inch cradle.
Yupo synthetic paper
Yupo is a synthetic paper (plastic). Like Claybord the surface is extremely slick and fickle. Part of the fun is seeing what it will do!
Cold Press Watercolor Paper
I have worked on 140 lb cold press paper for over 30 years. This piece painted wet on wet shows the texture that the tooth of watercolor paper allows.
The joy is in the process.
